Obituary - S. E. Barnaby Dies, Was Ill Two Weeks
Well Known Carpenter Passes Away at Home on Griffith Street
Samuel E. Barnaby passed away at 1:40 o'clock this afternoon at his home, 119 North Griffith Street. His death followed a two weeks' illness. For the past few days he has been critically ill and there were but few hopes for his recovery. It is said the physicians were puzzled at his ailment.
Mr. Barnaby was a well-known Hannibal man, having lived here for a number of years. He was a carpenter and since his wife died seven years ago, had lived alone at his home. His two brother have been with him since he became dangerously ill and were at his bed side when he succumbered.
He was a prominent of the Order of National Americas and took an active interest in the organization.
The funeral arrangements are uncompleted but burial will take place at Mount Olivet cemetery.
