John Fletcher was married to Chloe M. Bennett on March 24, 1860 in Adams Co., IL. They had four children - Nora A., Ava, Kate A., and Austin S. Chloe died in 1871.

John Fletcher married Mary Ellen Robertson January 19, 1973. They did not have any children.

The spelling of Barnebey changed from Barnaby to Barneby to Barnabey to Barnebey.

OBITUARY
J. F. Barnaby died at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Mexico Hospital following a long illness. A complication of ailments is given as the cause of death.
Funeral arrangements have not been definitely made, but probably will be conducted Friday. The body will be buried in Elmwood.
Mr. Barnaby for many years was one of the leading farmer-stockmen of North Audrain. He had lived in the Young's Creek neighborhood since 1882. He was born in Clark County, Ind., Dec. 28, 1835, and came to Missouri in 1869, settling in Monroe County. He moved to Adrain in 1882.
Mr. Barnaby leaves his wife, one daughter, Mrs. George Nugent, who lives in the Young's Creek neighborhood.

Note: Young's Creek was a trading point located by the P. O. in Salt River Twp NW of Mexico, MO. They were located on Youngs Creek for which it was named.
