John R. Gomoluh, Jr. - John R. Gomoluh, Jr., of Clover Bottom, passed away suddenly on the home place Sunday, May 31, death resulting from a accidental gun shot. Mr. Gomoluh, was attained the age of 43 years, ten months and 18 days, was born in Clover Bottom, July 13, 1915. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Ann's church there, attended school, and resided with his parents on the home farm. He served in the U.S. Army from June 13, 1942, until January 31, 1946, when he was Honorably Discharged at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. He was a member of St. Ann's church of Clover Bottom; and St. Ann's Young Men's Sodality. His father, John A. Gomoluh, preceded him in death April 21, 1953. Surviving are his bereaved mother, Mrs. Hedwig Gomouh (nee Nowak), two sisters. Mrs. Archie (Regina) Henderson, St Genevieve, Mo., Mrs. Mary Terschluse, Clover Bottom, one brother, Aloys Gomoluh, St. Louis, Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 2, 8:15 a.m. from Nieburg and Vitt Funeral Home, 9 a.m., at St. Ann's church, Clover Bottom. Interment in church cemetery, with grave-side services under auspices of Washington Post No. 218 American Legion, and Co. C. 4th B.G. 6th Infantry Regiment, U.S.A.R. of Washington.

Accidental Gunshot Wound Causes Death - John R. Gomoluh, Jr., 43 of Clover Bottom was killed y an accidental gunshot wound Saturday. The accident occurred on the Gomoluh farm, near his home, when a shotgun accidentally discharged and struck Gomoluh in the head. The blast occurred as Gomouh was reportedly crossing a fence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, at the Nieburg and Vitt Funeral Home at 8:15 a.m. and at St. Ann's church, Clover Bottom, at 9 a.m. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Hedwig Gomoluh, nee Nowak; two sisters, Mrs. Archie Henderson, St. Genevieve, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Terschluse, Clover Bottom; and one brother Aloys Gomoluh of St. Louis. His father, John R. Gomoluh, Sr., preceded him in death.
