JOHN ANTHONY GOMOLUH - John Anthony Gomoluh, beloved husband of Hedwig Gomoluh (nee Nowak), departed this life at his home in Clover Bottom, on Tuesday evening, April 21, 1953, at 5:45 o'clock. Mr. Gomoluh was born in Clover Bottom, on April 9, 1880. He was baptized in St. Gertrude church, and confirmed in St. Francis Borgia church in Washington. He received his education in the schools of Krakow and Clover Bottom. On November 18, 1902, he was married to Hedwig Nowak, and resided permanently on the present farm in the Clover Bottom community. This marriage was blessed with four children, whom he leaves to survive. Mr. Gomoluh was in failing health for the past year. He attained the age of 73 years and 12 days. He was a member of St. Ann's Church and Married Men's Sodality of Clover Bottom. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son-in-law, Henry Terschluse, July 12, 1949 and one brother-in-law, Jacob Nowak, Dec. 27, 1949. Surviving are his wife, Hedwig Gomoluh, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. A.E. Henderson, Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Mrs. Mary Terschluse and John R. Gomoluh, Clover Bottom, Mo., Alois V. Gomoluh, St. Louis, Mo., one sister, Mrs. Frances Nowak, Clover Bottom, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning, April 24, 1953, at 9:00 o'clock at St. Ann's church at Clover Bottom by Rev. Lawrence Schierhoff. Interment in church cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS - We herewith express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our neighbors, friends and relatives for the acts of kindness and messages of sympathy extended to us during our said bereavement at the sudden death of my beloved husband, our dear father, brother, and grandfather, John Anthony Gomoluh. Special thanks we extend to Rev. Lawrence Schaerhoff for his service, as well as, Rev. Lawrence Rost and Rev. Joseph F. Meisner, the pall-bearers, choir, those who assisted in grave service, members of Married Men's Sodality of St. Ann's Church, and all those who expressed their sympathy through Spiritual Bouquets, Flora Offerings and car service.
