"Pioneer Resident of the County Died at the Home of Her Son"
"Mrs. Anna Hartnell, aged 74 years, wife of Joseph Hartnell and one of the pioneer women of Kenosha county, died at the home of her son on Charles street Thursday evening after a long illness from a complication of disease. Mrs. Hartnell was born in Newfoundland March 8, 1835, but she had been a resident of this county for many years. She came with her husband to the town of Salem many years ago, but for some time has resided with her son in Kenosha. She is survived by her husband and eight children--seven sons and one daughter."
