Death of Joseph Hartnell
Pioneer Resident of Kenosha County Died in Racine on Saturday
Joseph Hartnell, aged nearly 82 years, one of the pioneer settlers of the town of Salem in this county, died on Saturday afternoon at the Racine County Hospital for the Insane. He had been in the hospital for a number of years and while the cause of his death is given as old age it is thought that it was hastened by a fall which occurred a short time ago. Hartnell fell down a flight of stairs at the hospital receiving bad bruises on the head and hands. The deceased was a native of England but came to Kenosha many years ago and settled in the town of Salem. He is survived by a large family of grown children.
