Funeral services for Eli Hartnell, who died Thursday, Aug. 8 at Burlington Memorial Hospital were held Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. from the Steinke funeral home, Lake Geneva. Burial was in Mound Prairie cemetery.
Mr. Hartnell was born on Dec. 31, 1875, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hartnell, in Anacosta Island, Canada. He married Clara White, on Sept. 12, 1905.
He had been a resident of Twin Lakes for the past 64 years and was a former employee of Lawler Ice Co.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Regis Plowman, Twin Lakes, and a son, Merton, Chicago; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
