Funeral services were held Friday at the First Christian Church here, for Mrs. Lena R. Everhart 75 who died February 22 at Watonga Municipal Hospital. She was born at Darien, Wisconsin, August 25, 1880. At the age of 8 years, following the death of her mother, she was brought to Kansas and later Oklahoma by friends. Her childhood was spent in Omega. In 1903 she was married to L. A. Everhart. Most of her married life Mrs. Everhart lived at Bickford, Oklahoma where she served as postmistress for 12 years. Following the death of Mr. Everhart in 1932 she moved to Hitchcock where she could be near her daughter and family. She moved to Watonga in 1940. During her youth she joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Omega. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan, one brother Ed Adams, Hitchcock, one niece Ruth Guif, Elk Horn, Wisconsin and many other relatives and friends. Rev. Leon C. Kidd officiated at the services. Internment was in Eagle City Cemetery, Eagle City, OK. under the direction of Keller Funeral Home.
