Funeral services for Edward Daniel Adams, 73 pioneer resident of Blaine County, were held last Wednesday at Hitchcock. Mr. Adams died January 12, 1958 in an Okeene Hospital. He was born in Darien, Wisconsin May 8, 1884. After the death of his mother, he was brought to Kansas and later to Oklahoma by the Bill Schaffler family. He lived with them for a number of years and later made his permanent home with the L. Calvin Family. at Omega. On January 31, 1909 he was married to Earl Emo Morris. Their only son Willie Thomas Adams preceded him in death. Mr. and Mrs. Adams moved to Hitchcock in 1931 where he operated a grocery store and was a member of the chamber of commerce. He was custodian at the Hitchcock School eight years. Mr. Adams was a member of the Hitchcock Methodist Church and the Watonga Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife and a number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Floyd Smoot officiated at the service. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Watonga under the direction of Keller Funeral Home.
