The remains of Will Adams were brought out from Chicago on Tuesday, July 25th and the funeral was held the next day in the Baptist Church at 2:p.m., Rev. Kafer of Allen Grove speaking words of consolation. Will Adams was formerly a resident of Darien and moved with his family to Chicago about four years ago, where he has since been employed. He was 31 years old and was married, his wife and two children surviving him. He was a son of Charles D. Adams formerly of this place but who died in Oklahoma last December. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ella Sherman of Lake Geneva, May Adams, Darien, Lena Everhart, Oklahoma and a brother Edward Adams Oklahoma. His death came as a result of pneumonia. He was severly scalded about July 1st by steam from a boiler, but had about recovered from that when attacked by pneumonia. He was a hard-working, good husband and father taken in the prime of life but in his well days he was thoughtful enough to make provisions for an untimely death and the Modern Woodmen will pay to his family $1000.00. The Woodmen attended his funeral in a body and he was laid to rest in the Darien Cemetery.
