Fatally Injured In Car Accident

Mrs. Webb Chamberlin, aged 66, of Milford was fatally injured in an auto accident in front of the Evening Inn near Colliers on Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Chamberlin was riding in a car being driven by Mrs. Kenneth Jewell of Maryland. The car left the road and turned over when Mrs. Jewell applied the brakes when startled by another car, which she said was crowding into her lane.
The funeral will be at 2 Friday, from the Ingalls Funeral Home, Cooperstown. The body will be placed in the funeral home vault until spring when burial will be in the Westville Cemetery.
Otsego Chapter. OES, will conduct a memorial service at 8 Thursday evening, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chamberlain was born June 10, 1889 in the Town of Westford, daughter of Melvin and Grace (Gano) Jewell. She was married to Webb H. Chamberlain in November 1909.
She was a member of Otsego Chapter 201. OES, Cooperstown, and a member of the Westville Grange.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Stuart. Oneonta and Stanley, Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Webb, Mrs. Fred Ottaway, both of Cooperstown; Mrs. Clymena Alexander, Franklin; three brothers, Ernest Jewell, Westville, Harold
Jewell, Schenectady and Kenneth Jewell, Milford; two grandchildren.
