James W. Shipley, 57, died at his home in Longmont early this morning after a long illness.
A retired farmer, Mr Shipley was born in Seward, Nebraska, July 21, 1881. He came to Longmont ten years ago from Kansas. He held membership in the A.O.U.W. of Kansas.
Surviving relatives are two sons, James Wesley of Monarch, Colorado, and Glenn of Longmont; seven daughters, Mrs Rachel Huber of Iowa; Mrs Vinal Davidson of Pittsberg, Kansas; Mrs Bertha Mahan, Mrs Ruth Bane, Mrs Gladys Simms, and Bessie and Lavone Shipley of Longmont; two brothers Ezical of Central City and Ed of Longmont, his father J. W. Shipley of Pittsburg, Kansas and nineteen grandchildren.
Mrs Shipley passed away in 1931.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Prohs Funeral Home. Rev. L. W. Biddle will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
