YOUNG VETERAN,FATHER OF TWO SONS EXPIRE

Howard Thomas Galloway, 33, Huntington township, York Springs, died at his home this morning at 1:15 o'clock. Dr. C.G. Christ, Adams County Coroner; who investigated said Galloway had complained of feeling ill due to pains in the chest when he retired Thursday evening. His wife awoke early this morning and upon finding him breathing heavily summoned a physician. Mr. Galloway expired before the Doctor arrived. Dr. Christ said death was due to Coronary occulation.
Mr. Galloway was a native of Adams County and the son of Farel and Carrie Hummer Galloway, Gardners. He was a veteran of World War II. Having served with CC 47th Tank Battalion 14th Armored Division. He received the Good conduct Medal, American Defence Service Medal, Foreign American Middle East Service medal woth five bronze stars. He was a member of the Uriah Evangelical Church.
In addition to his parents and his wife, the former Meda Griffie, he is survived by two sons, Howard Jr. and Richard, one daughter, Bonnie and one step daughter, Shirley Griffie.
