She was born and resided in Adams County her entire life. She had been in failing health for a number of years.
She was the daughter of the late Washington S. and Ida V. Shultz Hummer. She was employed at the Eaton-Dikeman Paper Mill, Mt. Holly Springs, for seven years before she retired in 1953.
Her husband Farel C. Galloway died in 1955.
She is survived bu four daughters, Mrs. Earnest W. (Nettie) Mixell, Biglerville; Mrs. Kenneth E (Ethel) Carey, York Springs; Mrs. Paul(Ruth) Bauldosser, Carlisle; Mrs. Joseph (Janet) McKenrick, Gettysburg, three sons, Robert H., Aspers, Dennis E., Gardners; William E., Gardners; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Mater, Lewisburg; Mrs. Marjorie dolly, Fairfield; 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Rev. Colin J. Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in the Idaville Cemetery.
