Willard L. Cassiday, 66, of Flint, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 29. Born in Gladwin County on Nov. 27, 1904, he moved to Flint in 1943 from Midland. Mr. Cassiday was a veteran of World War II and retired from A. C. Spark Plug Co. in 1968. A widower, he is survived by one son, Dale; of Midland; one daughter Mrs. Marie King, of Midland; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Douce, of Gladwin, Mrs. Margaret Garbett, of Flint, Mrs. Stella Bardwell, of All-Bright Shores and Mrs. Sylvia Nunn, of Beaverton; one brother, Wilbur Cassiday, of Edenville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Rites were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl Briggs officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 06-02/1971 Column - 5 Page - 2
