Carl Lamar Forrester, 82, of Phenix City, died Thursday, Jan. 27 at The Medical Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 29, at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Phenix City Chapel. Rev. Joel Walker and Rev. Ron Roberts officiated. Interment followed in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Born April 28, 1922 in Columbus, son of the late Buford D. and Addie White Forrester.

He was a member of the Summerville Baptist Church and was a former office equipment repairman with the White Co., and Baker Office Supply. Mr. Forrester was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy Caldwell Forrester; two daughters, Barbara McQuinn and Carole Cummings; and one son, Gary Forrester, all of Phenix City; a brother, Charles Forrester of Ellerslie, Ga.; one sister, Mary Jane Calhoun of Opelika, Ala.; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandson, nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Summerville Baptist Church.
