DEWEY E. FORRESTER
A long-time Fort Benning employee, Dewey Ezell Forrester, 72 of 1362 Rhoades St., Columbus, died Tuesday at his home.
The graveside service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Mr. Forrester was born Nov. 14, 1909, In Cowarts, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. B.D. Forrester. He belonged to First Baptist Church. He had been a civil service meatcutter at Fort Benning's commissary for nearly 50 years. He had lived in Columbus most of his life.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Jane Calhoun of Columbus; three brothers, James and Charles Forrester, both of Columbus, and Carl Forrester of Phenix City; nieces and nephews.
