SPARTA — Funeral services for Amanda Arlena Bumbalough, 96, of Sparta will be held Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Saylors Cemetery.
Mrs. Bumbalough passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
She was born Sept. 4, 1917, in White County to the late Byrd Joseph and Noama Frances Pistole Sherrell.
Her family includes three sons, Terry (Marine) Bumbalough of Louisville, Ky., Robert (Betty) Bumbalogh of Hendersonville and Johnny Bumbalough of Sparta; two daughters, Betty (Durelle) Henry of Old Hickory and Norma Ruth (Don) Huddleston of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hershel Bumbalough.
