William Hershel Bumbalough, 91, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 29, 2005.
Bumbalough was born Aug. 14, 1914, in White County, to William Obe Bumbalough and Dora Finley Bumbalough.
He worked in heating and air sheet metal.
Bumbalough was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Sherrell Bumbalough, of Sparta; two daughters, Betty Henry and husband Durelle, of Old Hickory, Norma Ruth Huddleston and husband Don, of Knoxville; three sons, Terry Bumbalough and wife Marine, of Heathrow, Fla., Robert Bumbalough and Betty, of Hendersonville, Johnny Bumbalough, of Sparta; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were 11 a.m., Dec. 2, 2005 at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Saylors Cemetery.
Fate Wilson officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
