Alma Jewell Sherrell Moore, 88, of McMinnville, passed away May 31, 2004.

Moore was born Jan 17, 1916, in White County, to Byrd Sherrell and Naomi Frances Pistole Sherrell.

She had been a homemaker.

Moore was preceded in death by husbands, Lloyd Sherrell and John R. Moore; one son, Lloyd E Sherrell Jr.; step daughter, Brenda Moore Phillips; grandson, Keith Sherrell; and one brother, J.V. Sherrell.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Earl Bailey, of McMinnville, Gail and Jim Green, of Gallatin: grandchildren, Kim Sherrell, Kevin Marcom, Tina Marcom, all of McMinnville, Terrell Marcom, Dana Marco, both of Clarksville, Penny Green, Tiffany Green, both of Gallatin, John Phillips, Drew Phillips, Wade Phillips, all of Brownsville; great grandchildren, Natosha Denton, Holly Denton, Alicia Marcom, Jeremy Marcom, all of McMinnville, Cassidy Marcom, Heath Marcom, Jordan Marcom, Jack Marcom, all of Clarksville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Arlena and Herschel Bumbalough, Minnie Bell Carter, all of Sparta; special friend, Alvin Sherrell, of Sparta; several sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m., June 2, 2004, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Saylor's Cemetery in White County. Rev. Fred Bueta and Rev. Terrell Marcom will officiate.

McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
