He was married Annie Landa in 1909 at Louisville, rural Red Lake Falls,
The Boutains lived and farmed in Wylie Township.
Eli Boutain had served on the local town and school boards for many years.
At the age of 94, Eli Boutain, at a Red Lake Falls hospital. He had been a resident of a Red Lake Falls nursing home since 1967.
Survivors include ten sons, Elmer, Andrew, Willard, Ralph and Dale Boutain, all of Red Lake Falls, Emil of Toppenish, Washington, Herman of Shakopee, Edward of Rochelle, Ill.,
Harvey of Rochelle, Ill., Harvey of Taylor, North Dakota and Ray of Hoyt Lakes; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Mamie) Meyer of Red Lake Falls, Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Starken of
Biwabik, and Mrs. James (Elsie) Wolner of Hoyt Lakes; 41 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
also surviving are two brothers, William and Albert Boutain, Boutain both of Crookston and one sister Mrs. Nellie Audette of Crookston.
Mr. Boutain was preceded in death by his wife in 1967, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
A Requiem High Mass will be offered for Eli Boutain on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Dorothy's Catholic church, Dorothy, with the Rev. Gerald Foley officiating. Burial will
be in the church cemetery in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at Petterson Funeral Home, Red Lake Falls, Tuesday afternoon and evening beginning at 3 p.m. Recitation of prayers will be Tuesday at 9:15
p.m. at the Funeral home.
