Susannah Hill (c.1735-?) was a daughter of William Hill III (c.1686/92-1741) and his wife Sarah Suggett/Suggitt (c.1709-?), of N. Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. Her paternal grandparents were William Hill, Jr. (c.1660-1745) and his wife Anne Chissell (c.1667-1705); and her maternal grandparents were Thomas Suggitt (d. 1713) and his wife Rebecca Hull.

Susannah married Isaac Beachum/Beacham (c.1727-1776/7) around 1752. He was a son of Daniel Beachum (d. 1741/2) and his wife Rebecca (d. 1772), of St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland County, Virginia. Susannah and Isaac moved from Northumberland to LIttleton Parish, Cumberland County, Va. around 1758. In about 1764, they moved to Edgecombe County, North Carolina. After Isaac's death in 1776 or 1777, Susannah came back to Virginia for a time, then between 1785 and 1790, she moved to Anson County, North Carolina (where her eldest daughter had settled in 1779). Legend has it that Susannah went out to Tennessee with her daughter's family around 1807, and died out there at the approximate age of 100.

The children fo Isaac Beachum and Susannah Hill were:

1. Winifred Beachum (c.1753-1836) m. John Lowry (d. 1818) in 1772. Moved to Anson Co., NC in 1779, to Stewart Co., Tennessee around 1807, she died in Henry Co., Tenn.

2. Isaac Beachum, Jr. (1755-?) m. Prudence Farris, the widow Stone.

3. Sarah Suggett Beachum (c.1757-aft. 1830) was in Richmond Co., NC in 1790, probably in Morgan Co., Ala. in 1830.

4. Rebecca Beachum (c. 1758) no further information.

5. William Beacham (c.1759-1811/2) m. Margaret Lowry (probably a cousin of Winifred's husband), was in Anson Co., NC in 1790, moved to Spartanburg Co., SC in 1799.

6. Jesse Beachum (c.1761-?) m. Mary Hendricks, was in Anson Co., NC in 1790, Chesterfield Co., SC in 1800, may have gone to Kentucky.

7. Daniel Beachum (c.1762) no further information.

8. Alexander Beachum (c.1763-after 1820) m. Elizabeth Shelton (c.1774-aft. 1820) were still in Anson Co., NC in 1820, probably died there.

9. Betty Ann Beachum (born after 1764) no further information.
