The information I have on Jesse Beachum (Beacham, Beauchamp) is somewhat sketchy. He was a son of Isaac Beachum (c.1727-c.1776/7) and his wife Susannah Hill (c.1730s-1820s), as proved by the guardian bond in May, 1777, when Susannah's children were made wards of her brother Thomas Suggett Hill. The family had moved from Cumberland Co., VA to Edgecombe Co., NC around 1764, but went back to Virginia after Isaac's death. Sometime in the 1780s, they went to Anson Co., NC, where Jesse appears on the 1790 census, living near his mother. By 1800, he was living across the state line in Chesterfield Co., SC. He may have gone to Kentucky after that.

Jesse's wife was, I believe, Mary Hendricks. I believe they had the following children: Rebecca Beachum/Beauchamp (c. 1789-aft. 1850, m. William Sanders, 2nd m. Thomas Burton Pride, living in Attala Co., Miss. in 1850, named a child Elijah Hendricks Sanders), Augustus Graves Beauchamp (1791-1870, m. Elizabeth Denson, 2nd m. Mary Frances McCabe, d. Lamar Co., Tex.), Isaac Beachum (c. 1793-aft. 1850, m. Nancy, living in Forsyth Co., GA in 1850, not sure about him), William Beauchamp (c. 1795-1850s, m. Cynthia, d. Henderson Co., Tenn.), Jesse Beachum (c. 1800-1860s, m. Dorothy, living in Calhoun Co., Ala. in 1860) Benjamin H. Beauchamp (1800-1869, m. Sarah Pettus, d. Titus Co., Tex.), Nicholas Beauchamp (c. 1802-1860s, m. Mary King, d. in Missouri during the War, probably killed by yankees, his widow was living in Lamar Co., Tex. near Augustus in 1870), Elizabeth Beachum (c. 1805-1870s, m. a Hardison, not sure about her).

I am still looking for information on these folks, and anything anyone could tell me would be greatly appreciated.
