Mrs. Catherine Thoennes, 90, formerly of 808 S. 22nd St., died at 9 p.m. Thursday in Turtle Creek Convalescent Centre where she was admitted in September. She had been ill several years.

A native and life resident of Lafayette, she was married in 1904 to Charles E. Thoennes, who died in 1954. Mrs. Thoennes was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert Thoennes of Lafayette; and three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Ketterer, Mrs. John (Bernice) Zink and Mrs. Marjorie Byrd, all of Lafayette.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
THOENNES, Mrs. Catherine -- Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Zahn-Schneider Funeral Home. Wake service there at 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral mass at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Boniface Church, the Rev. Benno Heidlage officiating. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
