WINNFIELD — Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Laurel Heights Assembly of God Church in Winnfield for Charlie R. Conn, 87, of Winnfield. Rev. W. G. Harrell and Rayford Higgs officiated.

Burial was in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Conn died Tuesday morning at Winnfield General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hazel French of Winnfield; two sons, George Conn of Pineville and Coy Conn of Alexandria; three sisters, Mrs. Erie Austin of Winnfield, Mrs. Essie Hand of Monroe and Mrs. Carrie Allen of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
