Member of Memorial Drive Christian Church, Gray Lodge No. 329, AF & AM. Former Major League Baseball Player. Manager of the Houston Buffs and Coach at Rice University. Survivors: Daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Conley; grandchildren Robert Conley, Richard Conley; sisters, Mrs. Gussie Sheffield, Mrs. Maude Baumgartner, Mrs. Dora Oberwetter, all of Houston. Burial Hollywood Cemetery.
