BAILEY ~ Mrs. Sarah Carrie Bailey, 75, of 2114 Gentry, died at her residence at 11:35 a. m. Tuesday. Mrs. Bailey was a native of Louisiana and had been a resident of Houston for the past 37 years. She was a member of The Second Christian Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ed Sheffield, Mrs. J. B. Baumgartner, and Miss Dora Bailey;, all of Houston; three sons, A. S. Bailey, L. E. Bailey, and A. E. Bailey, all of Houston; two brothers, Rowley Pearce of Barbers Hill and Joseph E. Pearce of Houston; a sister, Mrs. W. B. (Anna) Archer of Houston; two granddaughters, Mrs. Nelle Morin and Mrs. Betty Jean Bailey of Houston; three great-granddaughters, Nell Jeanne Morin and Carol Earline Morin of Houston, and Clovis Ann Sheffield of Waco; three grandsons, Randolph Bailey of Los Angeles, Edward Sheffield of Waco and J. B. Baumgartner, Jr. of Houston; five nieces, Mrs. L. L. Pearce, Mrs. Mildred Wilson, Mrs. Ruth Longmire and Miss Lucille Pearce, all of Houston, and Mrs. Claude Travers of Milltown, N. J.: eight nephews, E. W. Pearce, E. Wilt Pearce, Charles Pearce, Lafayette Pearce, Edgar Pearce and Oscar Pearce, all of Houston, and Reid Pearce and Joe Pearce of Cheneyville, La.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
