Mrs. Evelyn E. Winnett, 63 years of age of Stringtown on Route 1, Carl Junction died at 3:10 o'clock Saturday morning, June 14, in St. John's Medical Center at Joplin, where she had been a patient since June 2.

Mrs. Winnett was born December 9, 1911, in the State of Oklahoma. She had lived in the Carl Junction and Oronogo areas most of her life. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Carl Junction.

Surviving are four sons, Harry Winnett of Pascagoula, Miss.; Carl Winnett and Bob Winnett of Joplin, and Delbert Winnett of Carl Junction; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Asbell of Carl Junction and Mrs. Mary Tappana of Webb City; two brothers, Mayor Frank Dean of Carl Junction and Herschel Dean of Sacramento, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Wuellner of Webb City, Mrs. Christine Sorg of Grove, Okla., and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning of this week in Joplin. The Rev. Ron Clifford and the Rev. Jay Farris officiated and burial was in Carl Junction Cemetery.
