A native of Decatur county, Mrs. Harrell was born in 1870 and was the daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah Sabina (McKee) Ridlen. In 1892, she was married to Frank Carey Harrell whose death occurred in January, 1949. The couple resided in Shelby county for many years and left here for Bloomington about 15 years ago.
Seven children were born to the union and six survive. A son Ralph W. Harrell, died in 1935. Those surviving are Mrs. Edgar Briley of this city; Mrs. Leroy Brown of Perrysville; Robert and Horace Harrell of Bloomington; Thaddeus of Indianapolis and Frank Ridlen Harrell of Ann Arbor, Mich. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at the Bloomington First Methodist Church Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Friends called at the Green and Harrell Mortuary in Bloomington until the hour of the last rites. Interment was in Forest Hill cemetery in this city and brief services were held at the cemetery chapel. Friends called at the chapel from 1;00 to 2:00 p.m.
