Services were held in Brown Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rusty Pedigo presiding. Burial was in Travers Cemetery.
Mr. Atwood was born May 17, 1924, in Camillas, N.Y., the son of William and Rachel Gardner Atwood. He married Mary Ann Hendrick March 6, 1945, in Olney, and she survives.
He was a farmer and attended Brown Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was member of the Mt. Erie Ruritan Club; and was a World War II veteran.
Other survivors include two sons, Martin, Noble; and Kelly, Mt. Erie; four brothers, Joe, Mt. Erie; Lowell and Bob, both of Olney; and Donald, Rockford; four sisters, Mrs. Don (Joan) Simmons, Mt. Erie; Mrs. Herbert (Martha) Street, Allendale; Mrs. Mike (Violet) Merrick, Geff; and Mrs. Mary Smith, Uniontown, Ky.; his mother, Mrs. Rachel Moore, Cisne; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, an infant brother, and his father.
