Mrs. Matilda Latham Laid To Rest Sunday
Mrs. Matilda Latham, age 82, wife of the late H. J. Latham, passed away Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Armstrong on Moulton, Rt. 1.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Rhoden, of Tuscumbia; five daughters, Mrs. J. P. Armstrong, Moulton, Rt. 1, Mrs. J. E. Miller, Danville, Rt. 2, Mrs. Earl Hopkins, Mt. Hope, Mrs. Charlie Sandlin, Moulton, Rt. 2, Mrs. V. E. Waldrop, Landersville,; five sons, James E. Latham, Florence, W. H., L. W. and C. F. Latham of Landersville; fifty-four grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Landersville Church of Christ Sunday afternoon at three o'clock by Rev. J. W. Brooks. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, Highsmith directing.
The flower girls were Wilma James Latham, Norene Latham, Louise Hopkins, Imogene Sandlin, Ruby Latham, Ruth Latham, Mrs. Curtis Freeman, Mrs. Marion Blankinship, Mrs. Bud Waldrop, and Mrs. C. W. Alexander.
Pall bearers were Gordon Latham, Paul Latham, Charlie D. Sandlin, Jack Waldrop, Bud Waldrop, and Paul Radford.
