Mrs DO Bragdon Dies after a Long Illness
Mrs Allena Parker Bragdon wife of Doris O Bragdon of Georgetown died at her residence on Queen St at 10:35 am Wednesday. She had been in declining health for the past 8 years and seriously ill for several months.
Funeral services will be held from Duncan Memorial Methodist Church at 5 pm on Thursday. Officiating will be Rev CO Bell pastor and the Rev Dr CC Herbert a former pastor. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be LC Davis, Leon Hardee, RJ Ferdon, RM Camiln, WH Walter, and WW Rogerson.
Mrs Bragdon was born August 12 1884 in the home in which she died and was the former Miss Allena Parker a daughter of the late Jacob Parker and the late Mrs Clara Frances Sessions Parker. She attended the old Winyah Indigo Society School and was married to Mr Bragdon on August 16 1906.
She was a member of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons JR Bragdon and OO Bragdon both of Georgetown a daughter Mrs JT Wright of Georgetown and 5 grandchildren Roger Bragdon a Junior at Wofford College, William Bragdon, Dannye Bragdon, an Devorah Lynn Bragdon, all of Georgetown and Mrs Kurk Kruger of Florence.
