John Roger Bragdon of Georgetown Dies in Columbia Wreck
Georgetown May 28 (Special) John Roger (Bootsie) Bragdon 45 died at 6:45 today at Columbia when his automobile collided with another car.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Duncan Methodist Church with the pastor Rev CO Bell officiating.
Mr Bragdon was born Aug 28 1908 in Georgetown son of the late Mrs Lena Parker Bragdon and Dorus Otis Bragdon. He attended the Georgetown schools. He was employed for some five years at Belk-Scarborough Co here and more recently had traveled for the Globe Tailoring Co. He was a member of Duncan Church the Georgetown Masonic Lodge and the Elks of Myrtle Beach.
Surviving are his widow Mrs Vivian Baker Bragdon of Georgetown three children Lt John Roger Bragdon Jr of Ft Jackson, Mrs Kurt Kruger of Mt Pleasant and Billy Bragdon of Geogetown a brother OO Bragdon and a sister Mrs JT Wright of Georgetown.
Mr Brangdon's father died Feb. 9 1984.
