Martin L Altman age 62 passed away at his home on Prince Street here early Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks. He was a member of the police department of Georgetown having been on the department for the past 14 years.

Mr Altman is survived by his wife the former Miss Elizabeth Haseldon and the following children: RB Altman, Mrs Ethel Cribb, WM Altman, Miss Eunice Altman, WM Martin, Miss Eunice Cribb, Martin L Altman Jr, Loris Altman, Miss Dorothy Altman and Winston Altman all of whom reside in Georgetown.

The following brothers and sisters also survive Sam Altman, Spencer Altman, Ed Altman, JE Altman, and Mrs Annie Haseldon, all of Georgetown; Arthur Altman of Hemingway; James Altman of Norfolk Va; and Mrs Sallie Prevatt of Plantersville.

Funeral services were conducted from the residence Wednesday morning by the Rev H L F Shuler pastor of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church with interment following in Elmwood Cemetery.

Pall bearers were BE McLeod, AJ Jacobs, SS Lambert, RJ Cribb, HL Smith and James Raftelis.

Mayer Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
