Eugene Voris Allison, age 87, a resident of Sparks, Nevada, died Friday, January 3, 2003, at Tahoe Pacific Rehabilitation Facility in Sparks, Nevada. A native of Hector, Arkansas, he was born on February 8, 1915, to Theron and Sadie (Cotton) Allison. After 33 years of service, Mr. Allison retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1976. He lived in Merced, California, for 43 years prior to moving with his wife to an assisted living facility in Sparks, Nevada. Suvivors include his wife of 64 years, Bennie Marie Allison of Sparks, Nevada; a daughter, Betty 'June' Garner of Graeagle, California; two sons, Robert E. Allison of Mission Viejo, California and Donald R. Allison of Fresno, California; two brothers, Paul Allison of Hector, Arkansas and Lyndal Allison of Hector, Arkansas; two sisters, Velma Allison of Russellville, Arkansas and Flora Henderson of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Shaun E. Allison. Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2003, at the Rock Springs Church officiated by Rev. Bob Caldwell. Burial will be at Rock Springs Cemetery at Hector, Arkansas, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Pallbearers include Brian Garner, Keith Allison, Greg Allison, Victor Allison, Billy Allison, and Mike Allison. The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M.Friday at Humphrey Funeral Service.
