Velma Allison, 102, of Russellville, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Russellville Nursing and Rehab. The daughter of Claude and Sadie Cotton Allison, she was born May 2, 1913 in Una. She was a line worker with the International Shoe company for over 20 years. Velma was a member of the Women Missionary Council for many years in Russellville. She was a charter member of Cedar Grove Assembly of God and was a long time member of Russellville First Assembly of God. Velma was an avid reader and enjoyed flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Flora Henderson, Paul Allison, Voris Allison, Floy Allison, Irene Reed Bowen and Benjamin Allison.

Left to cherish Velma’s memory is her brother James Lyndal Allison and wife Anna of Conway and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Rock Springs Cemetery in Hector; burial to follow by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Cemetery Association, %Sherry Hurley, 718 East K Place, Russellville, AR 72801.
