Matilda "Tildy" Forrest Waits was the daughter of Gordon Forrest and Julia Hale. She married her first husband, Thomas Franklin Dobbs, in Douglas Co. MO Dec. 25, 1886. Thomas died circa 1893. Her second husband whom she married July 23, 1893 was Berry Hancock a widower who was 32 years older than Matilda who died circa 1905 in Douglas Co. MO. Matilda married her third husband William Henry Waits in Muskogee, Indian Territory July 31, 1906.
Her survivors at the time of her death were four sons, Joe Dobbs, Bennie Dobbs, Noah Dobbs, and Bill Waits, one brother, Gordon Forrest and 23 grandchildren. She outlived her children Julia Hancock, Mattie Hancock Gray, Earl Waits, Barney Waits, and Fred Waits.
