LONACONING — Mrs. Emma J. Winner, 81, of Midland, died yesterday at her residence. A native of Bedford, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Haney) Hemming. Her husband, William Winner, preceded her in death. Survivors include seven daughters, Miss Angela Winner, Midland; Mrs. Alice Murray, Frostburg; Mrs. Trellis Fair, Midland; Mrs. Edna Kerling, Wrights Crossing; Mrs. June Stanton, Midland; Mrs. Betty Lamb, Indiana, Pa., and Mrs. Mary Stakem, Hyattsville; six sons, Chalmers and George Winner, both of Cleveland; James, Arthur and David Winner, all of Midland, and Robert Winner, of Arizona; two half-sisters, Mrs. Leonard McKenzie, Cresaptown, and Mrs. James Miller, Shaft; a brother, Gus Hemming, New Florence, Pa.; two half-brothers, James Smith, Frostburg, and Harry Smith, Midland; 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Winner was a member of the Sodality of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Midland. The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home here where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home today at 7:30 p. m. A requiem mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 a. m. in St. Joseph's Church by Rev. Joseph Filler, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Cumberland News, Thursday, July 22, 1965
