He was born October 17, 1880, in Bedford County, the son of Thomas and Alice (Haney) Heming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy Ellen Diehl, who died in 1967, and these children: William, Robert, John and Mary.
He is survived by these children: Paul, New Florence, R. D. 2; Agnes Kisamore, and Thomas,, both of New Florence; George, Blairsville, R.D. 1; Mrs. Alice Cramer, Strongstown; Roy, New Florence, R.D. 2; Rose McGinnis, and Cyril, both of New Florence.
Two sisters, Mrs. Greta Miller, and Mrs. Edna McKenzie, and one brother, James Smith, all of Frostburg, Maryland also survive along with 52 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Heming was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Florence. He was a former employee of the Imperial Coal Company and Berkebile Brothers Contractors, Johnstown.
Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's church with the Rev. Edward McCullough officiating. Burial in the Grandview Cemetery.
