CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Bonnie Marie Addis, 89, of Bumpus Mills, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Brocton Christian Church in Brocton with Rev. Virgil Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Van Voorhis Cemetery in Hindsboro.
Mrs. Addis was born January 26, 1920 in Douglas County, and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Nelson Peddycoart and Desta Opal Anderson Peddycoart; husband, Harold E. Addis; son, Larry Dean Addis; daughter, Shirley Jeanette Addis; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas Kent Addis of Paris, Gerald Dwayne (Javona) Addis of Greenwood, Ind., and Allen Gene (Nancy) Addis of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughters, Caron Sims of Bumpus Mills, Tenn., Merry Sue (James) Schroeder of Des Plaines; brothers, Harold Peddycoart and Arthur Peddycoart of Illinois; sisters, Viola Clark of California, Clara Cain and Fern Dyke, both of Illinois, Camellia Buck of Colorado and Nancy Morecraft of Arizona; twelve grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Addis was a member of Brocton Christian Church, Brocton. She was very active in church and the Brocton Senior Citizens Center.
