Eugene A. Peddycoart, 49, of Springfield, died at St. John's Hospital after being in failing health for two years.

Born in Newman the son of Gordon and Desta Anderson Peddycoart, he lived in Springfield for 26 years. In 1959 he married Beulah O. Wallace.

Mr. Peddycoart was owner and operator of the Peddycoart Garage.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah O.; four sons, Roy, David, Robert Peddycoart, Donald Lahey; daughter Mrs. Barbara Hughes; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Peddycoart; eight sisters, Mrs. Helen Wright, Mrs. Bonnie Addis, Mrs. Laura Blaney, Mrs. Viola Clark, Mrs. Clara Cain, Mrs. Fern Maucy, Mrs. Camelia Buck and Nancy Mattingly; four brothers, Harold, James, Floyd and Arthur; eight grandchildren.
