She was born May 2, 1904, at Marytown, daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Burg Escher. As a child, she later moved to the Town of New Holstein with her parents.
She attended Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Kiel and on Sept. 21, 1926, she was married to Mr. John Baer at the church.
The couple lived at Kiel and the Town of Eaton before locating to the Town of New Holstein, 1 mile west of Kiel. Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1950.
Mrs. Baer was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Ione) Rausch of Route 2, Chilton; two sons; Arthur (Bernice) Baer of Route 1, Valders, and James (Peggy) Baer of New Holstein; three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Sukawaty and Miss Irene Escher, both of St. Nazianz and Mrs. Edmund (Viola) Krupp, of St. Anna; and 13 grandchildren.
Her husband, parents and a grandson preceded her in death.
A funeral Mass will be held at Ss Peter and Paul Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
