John Baer, 48, passed away suddenly, Monday morning at his home in the town of New Holstein, one mile west of Kiel.
He was born November 6, 1902, at St. Nazianz, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baer. On September 21, 1926, he was married to Miss Julia Escher. The couple lived in Kiel for five years, then moved to a farm near St. Nazianz where they spent the next 18 years, last year they moved to their present farm in the town of New Holstein.
Survivors include his wife; his father, Fred Baer of Manitowoc; one daughter Mrs. Norbert (Ione) Rausch of Chilton; and two sons Arthur of Valders and James at home; three brothers, Henry and Fred, Jr., of St. Nazianz and Joseph of New Jersey; and six sisters, Mrs. William (Theresa) Merkes and Mrs. Linlie (Ann) York of Chicago, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Escher of New Holstein, Mrs. Arthur (Rose) Stein of Newton, Mrs. Henry (Mary Elizabeth) Binversie of School Hill and Mrs. Emil (Hildegard) Lulloff of Nordheim.
Funeral services will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev F.X. Kheil will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
