Darlene Vivian Wells, 74, of Batavia passed away on March 23, 2009 at Washington Care Center in Washington. She was a retired elementary school cook. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Shipley officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery. She was born on Janaury 30, 1935 in Fairfield to Ernest and Merle Marie (Martin) Hartley. She married Donald Franklin Wells on February 15, 1963 in Fairfield. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2008. She is survived by her sons, John Wells and David Wells, both of Batavia; her sister, Irene Mae Filson of Birmingham; and one granddaughter.
