Elvira (Morcomb) Simon, 92 of 721 31st St. N.W., Rochester, died Tuesday (May 25,1993) of leukemia. She was born December 29, 1900, in Ridgeway, Minnesota, now known as Century Farm in Pleasant Hill township. She married Joseph Simon on August 12, 1922 in Minneapolis.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis G. Simon of Minneapolis, and Joseph J. Simon of McLean, Va.; and two daughters, Rita A. Fritz of Basking Ridge, N.J. and Rose M. Johnson of Rochester, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and three sisters.

She had lived in Winona, Minnesota for 55 years and moved to Rochester in 1975. She loved her home and outdoor activities. Her husband was the assistant postmaster at the Winona Post Office. Graveside services were held Friday, May 28, 1993 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
