Services for Mrs. Jessie Rudebeck, 78, who died a t Sunnycrest Nursing home in Dysart Tuesday, June 5, will be held today (Friday) in the United Methodist church at Traer at 10 a. m. with the Rev. Myron Brockmeyer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Buckingham cemetery. Born June 19, 1894, in Black Hawk county, the former Jessie Lawrence was a daughter of George and Jennie Stirling Lawrence. She attended school at Cedar Falls and the State Teachers college there, then taught school for a time. She was married to Charles Rudebeck December 5, 1916, at Cedar Falls. In the early years of their marriage, they farmed southwest of Traer. After her husband died in 1954, Mrs. Rudebeck continued to live at the farm home until 1967 when she entered Sunnycrest.
Survivors include two sons, Ray of Toledo and Robert of Buckingham; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Eva) Crook of Charles City, Mrs. Ruth Schwartz of Waterloo, and Mrs. Lawrence (Ellen) Hess of Waverly. Also surviving are two brothers, William Lawrence of Missouri and Wayne Lawrence of Texas, a sister, Mrs. Faye Mason of Cedar Falls; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Schwartz, Louis Schwartz, Duane Schwartz, Alden Crook, David Crook and Ronald Crook.
