Leo lived in Waterloo for the past 24 years, where he was employed by the Rath Packing County He had been on sick leave from Rath's since February. Mr Lawrence was a member of Grace Brethren Church, in which he was a deacon, a trustee on the church board and was active in Sky Pilots, a boys organization in the church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs Ardith Musch, Dunkerton, Mrs Rozella Powell, Winona Lake, Ind; three sisters, Mrs Jessie Rudebeck, Toledo, Iowa, Mrs Fay Kamper, Cedar Falls, Mrs Irma Thompson, Cedar Falls; two brothers, William Lawrence and Wayne Lawrence and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a daughter, a brother, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Brethren Church for Leo L Lawrence, 53, of 1505 Cornwall Ave. who died Sunday of a heart attack while he was on a weekend trip to McGregor. The Rev John M Aeby, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Midwest Garden of Memories. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Grace Seminary, Winona Lake, Ind.
