Mrs. Luther (Hazel) Broyles, a former Danville resident, died in her sleep, Saturday morning, at her home in Pittsboro at the age of 79.

A native of Marion County, she was born, April 12, 1896, the daughter of Alvin and Emaline Harden Seymour. She had been married to Luther Broyles of Danville, who survives, for more than 50 years.

Services were Tuesday morning from the Baker Funeral Home in Danville with the Rev. Eugene Potts of the Methodist Evangelical Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Surviving with the husband are three children, Glen and Luther Broyles, Jr. of Plainfield, and Mrs. Herman (Florence) Ragsdale of Pittsboro; a brother,
Herbert Seymour of Brownsburg; nine grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
