OBIT from The Clarion-Ledger, Tuesday, June 6, 1995: Holcomb--Velma Bennett Butler, 70, a homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada with burial in Holcomb Cemetery.
Mrs. Butler was the widow of Horace Oswald Butler.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Morales of Tie Plant and Barbara Corder of Duck Hill; son, James Vance of Houston, Ala.; sisters, Betty Cox and Jean Bassey, both of Greenwood; Hazel Holland of Orlando, Fla., and Opal Corley of Vicksburg; brother Tillmon Bennett of Semmes, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
