Mrs. R. F. Brewer, 56 years, 3 months, and ten days, died at her home here at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 1936, following a week's illness with pneumonia.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with interment in the Winnfield Cemetery. Rev. B. C. Land, pastor, officiated.

Edmond's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Sion Jenkins, R. W. Oglesby, Mack L. Branch, Hugh Mercer, A. J. Richardson, and R. O. Mills.

Mrs. Brewer was a member of a prominent North Louisiana family. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zack Faith of the Gaars Mill Community. She was born and reared in Gaars Mill and moved to Winnfield soon after her marriage to Mr. Brewer, where they have lived since and reared their family. She was a member of the local Baptist church.

Surviving are her husband, R. F. Brewer, member of the Winn Parish Police Jury, four daughters, Mrs. S. L. Garrett, Minerva and Frances Brewer, of Winnfield, and Mrs. Frank Morris of Dallas, Texas, four sons, Frank and Henry of Houma, La., John Brewer of L. S. U., Baton Rouge, and James Brewer of Winnfield.

Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters, Dr. J. F. Faith, Winnfield, Miss Zattie Faith, Alexandria, Mrs. W. T. Walker, Ruston, Mrs. W. L. Dark, Mrs. J. G. Smith and Mr. J. W. Faith of Dodson, and one aunt, Mrs. Frances Smith, Winnfield.

Bertha's headstone gives her birth year as 1879, which is evidently erroneous based upon census records.
